Certificate course in Dance and Movement Therapy for special needs has been started in April 2023, as a six months certificate course at Jadavpur University as a collaborative program between SAMYA Foundation for Special Needs ( a non profit trust) and Jadavpur University, Department of Education. The course prepares 30 dance movement therapists every year to serve the community through SAMYA Model of Dance and Movement Therapy ( DMT) every year. Dr. Aditi Bandyopadhyay founder of SAMYA model of DMT has received the State award for best research & innovation project on developmental disabilities in 2023.
