Building the Bridges-
An annual event held each year organized by SAMYA Foundation which involves eminent speakers, resource persons and panellists from across the country. We organize panel discussions on inclusive education, self advocacy, employment for persons with disabilities, rehabilitation and other social issues pertaining to the needs and requirements of persons with special needs. Workshops are also held every alternate year for training parents, teachers, therapists, health professionals and volunteers in different modalities of interventions for Autism and other developmental differences

Building the Bridges 1 (7th September, 2018) was dedicated towards PROVISION OF SPECIAL NEEDS IN MAINSTREAM EDUCATION IN INDIA. Our keynote speaker was Ms Rashmi Mantri, am esteemed academician in special education and a resource person for inclusive education for Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). This was followed by a panel discussion with eminent speakers from the field of special education and disability services- Ms Indrani Basu (Director, Autism Society West Bengal), Ms Ushahshi Banerjee (Neuropsychologist), Ms Chandrima Bhattacharya (Special educator of a reputed ICSE school in Kolkata), Ms Mahua Ghosh ( a parent advocate for special education), and Ms Rashmi Mantri (key note speaker for the session). The panel discussion was moderated by Dr Aditi Bandyopadhyay. The panel discussion was attended by 120 parents and professionals in the field of inclusive education.

Building the Bridges 2 (29th & 30th June, 2019) was immensely successful with two day long workshops on ‘STRUCTURED TEACHING IN AUTISM’ with eminent speakers, Ms Sarbani Mallick (Director, BUBBLES CENTER FOR AUTISM, Bangalore) and Ms Dhanu John (speech pathologist, BUBBLES CENTER FOR AUTISM, Bangalore). The two day long workshop was attended by parents, therapists, educationists from all over West Bengal.
